The credential

Your Career Ally credential.

Once you've finished the five training modules, you'll complete a short readiness assessment — a self-assessment across all five competency areas, an integrated skills check, and a personal action plan. Pass it and you earn your CPD-certified Career Ally credential.

This credential certifies you can:

  • Demonstrate digital career tools confidently
  • Recognise when to provide direct support vs. refer to qualified coaches
  • Maintain confidentiality, inclusive practice, and professional boundaries
  • Escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately

Shareable on your LinkedIn profile (professional credentials section) and in performance reviews and development plans.

Keeping it current

Maintaining your credential.

To keep your Career Ally status active:

Quarterly — 4× per year

  • Attend learning circle sessions (60 minutes each, online)
  • Share experiences, problem-solve challenges, continue developing

Annually

  • Confirm ongoing practice in community career support role
  • Complete 1-hour refresher training
