Career Ally programme: complete module breakdown.

Six digital badges issued through Navigatr · Online modules plus live sessions with a trainer, in a group of up to 10 · Two mornings online or one half-day in person · About five and a half hours in all, certified for 4 hours of CPD.

The modules

Five training modules, each earning a digital badge, done before and between your live sessions. In your final session you'll complete a short readiness assessment to earn your CPD-certified Career Ally credential.

Understanding why good career conversations matter and what makes them effective.

How to choose the right digital tool for the moment, keep people's information safe, and learn any tool fast enough to offer it with confidence.

The credential

Your Career Ally credential.

Once you've finished the five training modules, you'll complete a short readiness assessment in your final live session: a self-assessment across all five competency areas, an integrated skills check, and a personal action plan. Pass it and you earn your CPD-certified Career Ally credential.

This credential certifies you can:

  • Demonstrate digital career tools confidently
  • Recognise when to provide direct support vs. refer to qualified coaches
  • Maintain confidentiality, inclusive practice, and professional boundaries
  • Escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately

Shareable on your LinkedIn profile (professional credentials section) and in performance reviews and development plans.

Keeping it current

Maintaining your credential.

To keep your Career Ally status active, there are two steps each year. Learning Circles sit alongside them, and you can join them whenever they suit you.

Annually

  • Confirm ongoing practice in community career support role
  • Complete 1-hour refresher training

Optional, whenever it suits you

  • Join a Learning Circle run by a Career Allies trainer, online or in person
  • Share experiences, problem-solve challenges, continue developing
